Nasuna is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is a mother of one and is separated from her husband. Nasuna works hard to meet her child’s needs.
For fifteen years, Nasuna has been experiencing excessive bleeding and lower abdominal pain. She has been diagnosed with multiple uterine myomas. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Nasuna’s surgery. On February 1, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Nasuna will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Nasuna says, “I hope to continue with farming after surgery.”
