Tris is a 50-year-old man and used to work as a guide. His wife sells food in the market and together they have one son and one daughter. Tris had to stop working as a guide about five years ago because his vision was too poor. Nowadays, Tris stays at home and cares for his children.
Tris developed a cataract, causing him blurry vision, sensitivity to light, and tearing. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Tris learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled there seeking treatment. On May 6th, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
Tris shared, “I hope after my surgery my vision can return so I can go to the market and help my wife with her work.”
