Niwamanya is a 26-year-old shop attendant from Uganda. He is a single young man with eight siblings. Niwamanya earns a living off-loading and on-loading goods for transit for a wholesale retail shop around town, but has not been able to work for some time now due to this health condition.
Since one and a half years ago, Niwamanya has had an umbilical hernia. He has a lot of pain especially when lifting heavy items which is the nature of his work. Fortunately, on May 14th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $241 to fund Niwamanya’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Niwamanya says, “I hope to get better after my surgery and have a good life.”
