Bora is a 29-year-old factory worker who is married and has one son. He likes to play football, watch TV, and take care of his child.
When he was 10 years old, Bora developed an ear infection in his left ear. He was prescribed medication, but his symptoms did not improve. He was diagnosed with chronic suppurative otitis media, a chronic inflammation of the middle ear and mastoid cavity. Because of his ear condition, he experiences ear discharge, hearing loss, and a ringing or buzzing in the ear, making it difficult for him to hear at work.
When Bora learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), he traveled for one hour with his wife to meet with ENT surgeons for treatment. On January 16, surgeons at CSC will perform a myringoplasty procedure in Bora’s left ear. Now, CSC is requesting $399 to fund this procedure.
“I hope to have good hearing after this operation,” says Bora.
