Nimusiima is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is married with seven children.
For three years, Nimusiima has had a bilateral femoral hernia. The hernia causes her pain while walking and makes it hard for her to work on the farm. Fortunately, on January 16, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Nimusiima’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.

Nimusiima underwent hernia repair surgery.
Nimusiima underwent a bilateral herniorrhaphy, and it was a success. She is no longer at risk of hernia twisting and blocking. Nimusiima’s life will improve, as she has been relieved of pain.
Nimusiima says, “Thanks very much Watsi for having saved my life, may God continue to bless you. I hope to continue with cultivation.”
