Asiimwe is a 41-year-old farmer from Uganda. She lives with her husband and five children.
Four years ago, Asiimwe developed a swelling on the back of her head. It has affected her work performance, as she feels pain whenever she carries heavy items on her head. If left untreated, she will continue having difficulty working and experiencing pain.
Asiimwe decided to visit our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), to seek treatment for the swelling. Only August 8, she will receive surgery to remove the mass on the back of her head. AMHF is requesting $187 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care. After surgery, Asiimwe will have a much better quality of life.
“After treatment, I hope to continue practicing farming with my husband for the wellbeing of our family,” Asiimwe says.
