Gensi is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. He is married and a father of five children.
For ten years, Gensi has had a hydrocele, which is a swelling in a sensitive area. The hydrocele is making it uncomfortable for him to walk and work. Fortunately, on August 2, he will undergo hydrocele repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $139 to fund Gensi’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Gensi says, “I was afraid of this condition but now I hope to be better after surgery.”

Gensi underwent hydrocele repair surgery.
Gensi received a successful hydrocelectomy. He is now able to walk with no pain and he expects an improved quality of life after recovery.
Gensi says, “My sincere appreciations go to Watsi for having found of a way of helping needy people like me get good healthcare through donors. We will never take you for granted.”
