Danika is a two-year-old girl from Cambodia. She enjoys playing with her two sisters, as well as going for walks in the village with her family.
When she was 16 months old, she burned her middle finger when she crawled near a fire. The skin around her finger has tightened and she is unable to fully move her finger or flex her hand completely.
When Danika learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On June 5, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to allow her to fully move and extend her fingers without difficulty. Now, she needs help to fund this $448 procedure.
