Kengingo is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is a widow and a mother of four children, who are all grown up and married.
For one year, Kengingo has had a right inguinal hernia. The hernia causes her pain and discomfort. If not treated, it may result in hernia twisting and blocking. Fortunately, on February 20, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Kengingo’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.
Kengingo says, “I hope to resume with cultivation when stable.”

Kengingo underwent hernia repair surgery.
Her hernia treatment was successful. She will no longer experience pain and will have improved quality of life. She is no longer at risk of the hernia twisting or blocking.
Kengingo says, “I really thank you for saving me as myself could not afford. May you continue saving many lives of people and God bless you. I will continue with cultivation when stable.”
