Pofira is a farmer with three kids and five grandchildren from Malawi. He lives with his wife and kids in his village, where he enjoys gardening activities in his free time. However, he has been feeling a lot of pain while working, so he has been unable to enjoy these activities for a while.
Since over a year ago, Pofira has had a right inguinal hernia. The hernia causes him so much pain that he cannot complete work on his farm, and he cannot enjoy gardening activities or spending time with his family. Fortunately, on February 19, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $334 to fund Pofira’s surgery. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and six nights of hospital stay. He is feeling good about the prospects of surgery.
He says, “Thanks so much to the project for this support!”
