Benjamin is a 22-month-old boy from Uganda. He is a charming young boy who is extremely persistent. Even when his mother tells him to stay in the room, he insists on playing outside. After his parents divorced, he and his mother moved to live with his grandparents, who are farmers
Benjamin has right inguinal hernia. He has been experiencing swelling since he was a few months old. His swelling is noticeable when he is crying, running, or playing. At times he does not want to sit or stand and is often crying in pain.
Fortunately, on March 21st, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $230 to fund Benjamin’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Benjamin’s mother says “I hope he will be relieved from the pain he has been having once operate on.”
