Phearum is a student from Cambodia. Phearum has three brothers and one sister and enjoys studying. He just finished 11th grade!
In October 2016, Phearum was playing outside with his friends when he fractured his arm. He went to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the doctors fixated hardware to heal his fracture. Phearum regained full mobility, but the plate and screw left in his arm from his surgery are now causing pain and discomfort.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On September 1, Phearum will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will eliminate Phearum’s pain and allow him to play normally with his friends and brothers.
He says, “I want to use my arm without pain.”
