Kusanyusa is a 36-year-old expectant mother from Uganda. She is married and the mother of two children, a girl and a boy. One child is in primary school, and the other is in nursery school. Kusanyusa is a hair dresser, and her husband is a taxi driver.
She was diagnosed with a contracted pelvis during her first pregnancy and was told that she will never deliver normally and will always have to deliver her children by C-section.
Kusanyusa is unable to pay for another C-section. Fortunately, she was connected with a Watsi care center. They are seeking $280 to fund her C-section procedure, as well as surgical aftercare.
After her child is born, she hopes to continue dressing hair and providing for her children.
