Eric finally received surgery to fix phimosis.
Eric’s doctor says, “Well it only took us a year and a half to get this done! Erick finally, after many mis-starts, cancelled appointments, and the like finally had his surgery! He is home recuperating and is feeling in great spirits. And very relieved to get this behind him. He is really getting into puberty now, so having this anatomic issue fixed is a major self esteem boost for him. His mother is thankful to the whole team for sticking with it and getting the surgery done finally, and thankful to Watsi for helping finance it!”
We understand that this email is reaching you so long after your generous donation, and we would love to send you a Watsi tee-shirt as an apology. If you are interested, please respond to this email with your address.
Eric is an 8-year-old boy with phimosis, a common condition in which the foreskin of the penis does not move easily down. In Eric’s case this has led to multiple infections. If left untreated, Eric will continue to suffer from pain and serious infections that limit his ability to live a normal life.
Luckily, the treatment is very simple. Eric’s doctors told us that circumcision will cure this problem forever. They said that Eric is anxious to have surgery and go back to enjoying school and sports. Let’s help him get treatment and get on with his life!
