Sandra is a 20-month-old boy from Uganda. Sandra lives with his mother in a rural village. He enjoys playing football with his brother. His mother, Jeninah, is a farmer who grows beans, potatoes, cassava, millet, and vegetables on her small piece of land. She is also a laborer in the village. In her free time, Jeninah enjoys visiting relatives and friends and weaving baskets and mats. His father, Milton, is a lumberer.
Two weeks ago, Sandra began to develop troubling symptoms. Jeninah was visited by a village health team member, who advised her to bring Sandra to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor diagnosed Sandra with malnutrition that requires hospital management and intervention.
Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting $316 to fund Sandra’s malnutrition treatment. This will cover the full cost of the treatment, including a ten-night hospital stay, labs, medication, supplies, and physician consultation Jenniah is very thankful to donors for supporting Sandra’s treatment.
