Bakine is a 78-year-old farmer and mother of three from Uganda.
Two years ago, Bakine noticed a painful swelling on her back. Due to the pain, she has not been able to dig in her garden or farm. If not treated, she will have persistent pain and further discomfort as the mass continues to grow.
Seeking treatment through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, Bakine is scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on July 6. She is requesting $187 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care.
Bakine says, “I hope to be free from this pain that I have and I continue with digging as I operate on small scale farming.”
