Peter is a casual laborer from Kenya. He is a father of three children, who are in high school. Peter’s wife is a housewife.
Since 2004, Peter has had a cataract in his left eye, causing him loss of vision. A cataract occurs when the lens of the eye becomes opaque, blurring vision. He has been forced to adapt to using only one eye.
Fortunately, Peter is scheduled to undergo cataract surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Surgeons will remove and replace the blurred lens. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $220 procedure.
Peter says, “My hope is to be a more providing father to my children and wife.”
