Pisey is a 17-year-old girl from Cambodia. She lives with her parents and three younger sisters. Pisey is currently a student in the tenth grade and enjoys reading books, chatting with friends, and doing her homework in her free time.
This young student has developed nasal polyps on the lining of the passages within both nostrils. These soft growths have made it difficult for her to breathe at night. While she has previously received medication, her symptoms have not improved.
Pisey and her mother traveled one hour by motorbike to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), for treatment. There, ENT surgeons determined that a procedure must be done to remove the nasal polyps and help Pisey breathe easily again.
CSC is requesting $224 to fund this treatment, scheduled for April 25.
