Katushabe is a farmer from Uganda. She is a married mother with one child saying she is in school in primary three. She earns a living by practising small scale farming and other times get an income from working on other peoples farms. She stays in a single-roomed semi-permanent rental house together with her child and reports that her husband is a casual labour at a certain chicken farm in Buganda.
Katushabe presented with a swelling located on the right suprascapular region, which she has had for over 6 years. The disfigurement is associated with a pain localized in her back, radiating to the neck and entire shoulders.
Katushabe traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On June 9th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Katushabe needs help to raise $206 to fund this procedure.
Katushabe shared: “I will be grateful once I am considered for surgery under Watsi’s programs support. Surely my mind was totally blank on how I will get money for my surgery. I hope to get fine and continue hustling by cultivating to get school fees and to provide to my child.”
