Chann is a 28-year-old construction worker from Cambodia. Chann has two older brothers and two older sisters. He lives with his retired parents and one of his sisters. Chann enjoys watching boxing on TV, helping his parents at home, and meeting up with his friends.
Three years ago, Chann began feeling pain on both hips. Doctors at Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) diagnosed him with osteonecrosis. It is painful for him to walk and he cannot work for long periods of time. CSC surgeons will perform a right hip replacement first, and then on the left side the following week.
Fortunately, Chann learned about Watsi’s medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre. At CSC, surgeons can perform a total hip replacement to relieve Chann of his pain and allow him to walk easily. Treatment is scheduled for October 2nd, and Chann needs help raising $1,087 to pay for this procedure.
Chann said, “I hope after my surgeries I will be free of pain and will be able to walk and work easily again.”
