Rotha is a 54-year-old married motortaxi driver with a son, two daughters, and one grandchild. He likes to listen to the radio in his free time. Rotha learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from his neighbor. He traveled for three hours with his wife to reach CSC for treatment.
Rotha developed a cataract in his left eye about two years ago, causing him blurred vision, burning, cloudy lenses, and photophobia. It is difficult for him to see things clearly.
On April 5, Rotha will undergo surgery at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, CSC’s care center. Our medical partner, CSC, is requesting $153 to fund his treatment. After a phacoemulsification procedure and intraocular lens implant in his left eye, Rotha will be able to see clearly again.
