Sabiti reported feeling a mass in her vagina for the last five years. This is always with lower abdominal pain and repeated urine retention when the mass prolapses through the vaginal canal. This has hindered her life causing her living a poor quality of living since she no longer does any productive work due to her condition.
Sabiti had never tried out seeking medical intervention for condition. Having come at Nyakibale for her relief treatment, Sabiti was oriented about SAFE program by the doctor. A diagnosis of partial uterine prolapse plus cystocele and rectocele was made and transvaginal hysterectomy was recommended for her better health.
Sabiti has lost her husband this past August. She is a mother to two children, who are both small scale farmers, Sabiti herself practices small scale farming to sustain a living. She can’t afford her surgery, she needs SAFE program is support.
