Minea is a teacher from Cambodia. She lives in a rural area near the coast and works as a primary school teacher. She likes working with kids.
Twenty years ago, Minea had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in her left ear to perforate. For this reason, Minea experiences pain, hearing loss, and discharge. She’s worried about interacting with the students.
Minea traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On December 14, she will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in her left ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care.
Her uncle says, “I hope my niece can stop having pain and discharge from her ear.”
