Ahereaza is a student from Uganda. He is six years old and a first-born child. He has one sibling. Ahereza is in first grade. His father is an assistant accountant, while his mother operates a retail shop.
Ahereza has complained of a mass on his anterior abdominal wall for almost two years. This mass causes him pain, especially after a meal. If he is not treated, he will experience persistent pain.
Ahereaza traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On March 6, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Ahereaza needs help to raise $187 to fund this procedure.
Ahereaza’s father says, “I hope my son to get better after surgery and I continue with my work of accounting.”

Ahereaza underwent hernia repair surgery.
During surgery, the doctor realized that the mass had herniated and ended up doing a hernia repair. His hernia treatment was successful. He will no longer experience pain and will have improved quality of life. He is no longer at risk of the hernia twisting or blocking.
Ahereza father says, “I am so grateful for the support given to me by Watsi as I could not afford. I hope to continue doing my job of accountancy for the well-being of my family.”
