Sokhom is a father of four from Cambodia. He has four daughters. He works in administration. He enjoys exercising and watching TV.
When he was nine, Sokhom had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in his right ear to perforate. For this reason, Sokhom experiences ear discharge and pain. He cannot hear well and communicate easily with others.
Sokhom traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On September 4, he will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in his right ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care.
His wife says, “I hope my husband’s surgery goes well and he can hear well again. We are worried about him.”
