30-year-old Nawaraj is a farmer who lives with his wife and three children in Nepal. While his wife looks after the children, he tends to the farm and grazes cattle.
When Nawaraj was returning home from work, he slipped and broke his left wrist. His hand swelled and grew painful. He needed assistance to dress and bathe, and he was unable to work.
In search of treatment, Nawaraj traveled six hours to reach our medical partner’s hospital. On November 10, he underwent orthopedic surgery to correct his fracture. After recovery, he will be able to use his wrist without pain. Our medical partner, Possible, is requesting $195 to fund his treatment.
“I am looking forward resuming work in the field and supporting my family again,” says Nawaraj.
