Bororwa is a 51-year-old farmer and a mother of six children. She and her husband are small-scale farmers. They grow maize and beans for their family’s consumption and sell the surplus for a profit.
Around 15 years ago, Bororwa began experiencing troubling symptoms, including neck swelling, difficulty breathing, and heart palpitations. She was diagnosed with nodular goiter and requires surgery to correct the condition. After surgery, her symptoms should improve.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Bororwa receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on June 8th at AMH’s care center and now, she needs help to raise $252 to fund the procedure.
Bororwa shared, “I am much optimistic to seeing my health restored and my life becoming new after surgery. I will be so happy after because this condition has really given me a hard time.”
