Vorn is 74 years of age. She is married with four children and 11 grandchildren. Vorn enjoys watching Chinese dramas on TV in her free time.
In April of this year, Vorn developed a cataract in her right eye, causing blurred vision, tearing, and photophobia (an extreme sensitivity to light). Vorn shares with our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), that it is difficult for her to see clearly or to go anywhere on her own.
CSC has arranged for Vorn to undergo surgery on July 12 to remove her cataract. Surgeons will perform a phacoemulsification procedure and then insert an intraocular lens to help Vorn see clearly again. $211 will cover both Vorn’s surgery and hospital stay.
