Byabanyagi is a 73-year-old woman and a mother of four children. She is a farmer, though she has not been able to work in recent months. She is cared for by her grandchildren.
Six years ago, Byabanyagi started to experience lower abdominal pain. About one year ago, her gynecological symptoms became more troubling. She never received any treatment because she could not afford to do so. Finally, she decided to visit our medical partner’s care center.
Byabanyagi has been diagnosed with a uterine prolapse. She will undergo a repair surgery on January 16. Now, she needs help raising $287 to pay for this procedure.
She says, “After surgery I will have peace of mind and walk freely without any discomfort.’’
