Thomasi is a farmer from Malawi. He lives with his wife and they have six grown children. Thomasi works the family farm and also raises chickens to supplement the family income. When he has downtime, Thoamsi likes to attend his local church with his family.
Since November 2017, Thomasi has been experiencing pain and urinary difficulty. These symptoms are caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia. He needs to undergo a prostate resection surgery, a procedure in which surgeons will remove part of the enlarged gland.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $733 to fund Thomasi’s surgery. On December 7, he will undergo prostate surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and two weeks of hospital stay. Thomasi and his son, Louis, were thrilled to find out the procedure would be funded. Thomasi is looking forward to going back home and being active again.
He says, “Thank you! Now, I am so hopeful for the future.”
