Isaac is a 12-year-old student and the eldest in a family of two children. Isaac’s mom shared that she is raising her children on her own after their father left when her youngest was diagnosed with rickets. Isaac’s mother does laundry for neighbors to be able to provide for the family.
Last year, Isaac started having stomach pain. Issac’s mother took him to a nearby hospital, where he was examined and diagnosed with ulcers. Issac’s mother then brought him to our medical center’s care center, Bethany Kids Hospital where Issac was diagnosed with cryptorchidism. If left untreated, Isaac has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and fertility problems. Fortunately, he is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on May 11th. Our medical partner African Mission Healthcare is requesting $646 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Isaac’s mother shared, “I am very worried for my son now that I know what will happen if the surgery is not done. I’m praying and hoping that God will make it happen.”
