Vanna is a father of five from Cambodia. He is a rice farmer but he’d like to own his own grocery stall some day.
Three weeks ago, Vanna developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision, tearing, and difficulty reading. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Vanna learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for one and a half hours seeking treatment. On December 19, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
His nephew said, “I hope my uncle can see again like before.”
