Patrick is a hardworking father from Uganda. He and his wife, who is also a farmer, have nine children. Five of their children are currently enrolled in school, and Patrick shared that a large portion of their income is used to cover their school fees, allowing them to continue obtaining an education.
For four years, Patrick has dealt with an inguinal hernia. He experiences pain, especially while he is working. Although doctors at a hospital advised that he have surgery to repair the hernia, he was unable to undergo the procedure due to financial constraints.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), is helping Patrick receive treatment. On August 2nd, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at AMHF’s care center. Now, Patrick and his family need help funding this $230 procedure. After he has recovered, he should be able to live more comfortably and confidently.
Patrick says, “I hope to get the treatment and thereafter continue with my day-to-day activities without the pain I experienced.”
