Turyahabwe is a small-scale businessman from Uganda. Turyahabwe never continued with his education after senior six to the university due to lack of school fees. He attempted to join the Uganda Police twice, but has failed. He later got a job at a nearby school in which he taught in for two years. He is currently self-employed whereby he bakes shortcakes and walks about selling them, running the business together with his wife.
Since three years ago, Turyahabwe has had an inguinal hernia. If not treated, the hernia may result in intestinal tissue damage. Fortunately, on May 14th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $241 to fund Turyahabwe’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Turyahabwe says: “I hope to get better after my surgery!”
