Nasri is a one-month-old boy who is growing up in Tanzania. According to his parents, he is always happy. He was born with bilateral congenital clubfeet, which means that both of his feet are turned inwards and upwards at the ankle. If Nasri does not receive treatment, he will experience difficulty and pain when he tries to walk in the future.
Nasri is currently scheduled to undergo surgery to correct the positioning of his feet on August 11. His parents have already contributed $45 to the cost of their son’s treatment, but they cannot afford to pay for all of it. Therefore, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting an additional $890 to cover the remaining expenses of the operation. These funds will help pay for surgical equipment and Nasri’s foot braces, which he will wear during his recovery period after surgery.
Hopeful that the procedure will be successful, Nasri’s mother says, “I would love to see Nasri attend school and become a doctor one day.”
