Sokha is a farmer from Cambodia. She has a daughter and eight grandchildren. She likes to listen to monks pray on the radio.
Five years ago, Sokha developed entropion of the eyelids. This means that her eyelids turn inward. She experiences itching, blurry vision, irritation, and tearing.
Sokha traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On July 10, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform a corrective procedure to repair her eyelids. Now, Sokha needs help to raise $212 to fund this procedure.
She says, “I hope to stop itching and hope I can see better.”

Sokha underwent eye surgery.
Sokha’s operation went smoothly and she has returned home. Her eye is a little bit swollen after surgery, but she’s been given drops to reduce inflammation and prevent infection. Following surgery, Sokha’s eyelid has been repaired, improving her vision and confidence.
She says, “I am very happy that my eyelid surgery was successful. I feel comfortable now.”
