Eng is 66 years old and has two sons, four daughters, and four grandchildren. In his free time, he likes to watch the news on TV.
Four years ago, Eng developed a cataract in each eye, causing him blurred vision and sensitivity to light. Eng has trouble working and going anywhere on his own.
When Eng learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours to seek treatment. On March 22, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, Eng will be able to see clearly again. Now, he needs help to fund this $292 procedure.

Eng underwent cataract surgery.
Eng’s eye cataract was successfully removed from his left eye and clear vision has been restored. Following the operation, he was given eye drops to reduce inflammation.
Eng says, “I feel very happy that I can see again. I can do housework well and help the government develop my country. I can go anywhere by myself without needing to bother others to help me.”
