Chel is a 23-year-old man from Burma. Since October 2018, Chel has been experiencing sharp pain in his abdomen.
Doctors want Chel to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which x-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help doctors diagnose his condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Chel’s CT scan and care, scheduled for June 21.
Chel said, “I want to be healthy so that I can work to support my family. My family needs me.”

Chel underwent a CT scan.
His CT results indicated that he has chronic pancreatitis. His doctor prescribed him medication.
He said, “I feel a lot better since I have taken the medication prescribed by the doctor. If I do not need surgery, it will be great. But I will wait for the next appointment to learn if I need surgery from the doctor. Now, I will go home, and I would like to say thank you very much to the donors who helped pay for my CT scan. You were very kind to me.”
