Emmanuel is an 85-year-old retired watchman and tailor from Malawi. He lives with his wife, and they have six children together. They also have many grandchildren. Emmanuel worked hard for many years and now is enjoying his retirement by spending time with his family. He especially loves telling stories and chatting with his grandchildren.
For the past four months, Emmanuel has been experiencing pain and discomfort associated with an enlarged prostate. As Emmanuel is retired, he does not have the money to pay for an operation. One of his beloved grandchildren, also named Emmanuel, has been devoted to his care and wellbeing. He and his grandson were very happy to be introduced to Watsi.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, will be conducting a prostate resection procedure at Nkhoma Hospital. They are asking for $733 to fund the surgery, as well as seventeen nights of hospital stay.
Emmanuel is very excited to have his surgery, and he is ready to get back to his life. He says, “I give thanks; when this operation is done I will be powerful and can work again!”
