Nataana’s baby boy is six months old.
Nataana’s baby was born with clubfoot on both feet, a condition where both feet are twisted out of shape. The tissues connecting the muscle to the bones are shorter than usual and this will cause difficulty walking and even wearing shoes in the future.
Nataana and her baby traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, Kafika House, where surgeons will begin clubfoot treatment on September 24th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $341 to fund the baby’s treatment. After treatment, he is expected to crawl, walk, run, and play comfortably when he grows up.
Nataana says: “My family does not want my son as part of the family because of this condition and that is why we have not given him a name. I hope this treatment will change this and my family will accept him.”
