When Savan was 12 years old, she fell out of a tree and dislocated her knee cap. Now, seven years later, Savan suffers from intense pain when walking long distances. As a rice farmer, this makes it very difficult for her to work. If left untreated, Savan’s condition will continue to cause her pain and prevent her from living a full life.
Fortunately, doctors at Children’s Surgical Centre can perform a simple operation that will greatly decrease Savan’s pain and enable her to walk comfortably again.
Savan is from an extremely rural Cambodian province and cannot afford the medical care she needs. In her free time, Savan weaves mats with her mother. She has seven siblings and wants to be a teacher one day. Let’s help her get this treatment so she can live a normal life!
