Meet Seth, from rural Cambodia—a 57-year-old housewife and mother to seven children.
In June, Seth was in a motorbike accident near her home, which caused a fracture to her spine. Seth immediately went to the hospital, but, unable to afford the cost of necessary treatment, she returned home without it.
For the last two months, her pain has been increasing, and she is now unable to do housework. Seth and her son traveled four hours to get to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). On September 4, she will undergo surgery to relieve the pressure on her spinal cord that is causing her so much pain.
Seth looks forward to life after treatment, saying, “I hope I can walk better after surgery and do work around the house without pain.”
