Steven is a 75-year-old retired Malawian farmer who lives with his wife and large extended family. Due to his age, Steven no longer actively farms, but he does chores around the house. When he has down time, he likes to listen to gospel music on the radio and talk with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Steven has been dealing with the painful symptoms of enlarged prostate since early 2016. Because of the family’s financial situation, they cannot afford to pay for the treatment Steven needs. Steven and his family were very relieved to come to Nkhoma Hospital and find out about Watsi. After a prostate resection procedure on July 6, he will be able to go back home and live a healthy life.
