Srey Oun is a 34-year-old farmer and mom of three. She is married and all her three sons (ages 14, 10, and 4) are in school.
In October 2021, Srey Oun got into a motor vehicle accident when a cow ran into the road. The accident caused a closed fracture of her left femur. It is difficult for her to walk and she is in pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On October 20th, Srey Oun will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $465. This procedure will help her walk easily again.
Srey Oun shared, “I hope my leg will heal so I can walk again and get back to work.”

Srey Oun underwent fracture repair surgery so she can walk easily again.
Srey Oun traveled three and half hours to have successful repair of her fracture at Children’s Surgical Centre. When she has fully healed, Srey Oun can return to the market to sell vegetables grown by her family. This will allow her to make money to send her boys to school.
Srey Oun’s husband said: “Our family is grateful that Srey Oun no longer has pain, and will soon walk again. She can sell our vegetables to support the family. Thank you to the people who gave money for her leg. We are lucky to have CSC hospital to help poor Cambodians.”
