Seab is a 77-year-old grandmother with one son, four daughters, and 13 children. During her free time, she enjoys listening to monks pray and joining ceremonies at the local pagoda.
Four years ago, Seab developed a pterygium, a pink tissue growth, in each eye. This causes her blurred vision, irritation, and tearing. Seab has difficulty seeing things clearly and going places on her own.
Seab and her daughter traveled for three hours to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), for treatment. Seab is scheduled to undergo eye surgery to remove the pterygium from both of her eyes on July 17. CSC is requesting $201 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care.
After the procedure, Yen will be able to see clearly again and return to her favorite activities.
