Margret is a 37-year-old mother from southwestern Uganda. She is married and expecting her third baby. Margret’s husband works in the department of agriculture and their family’s income has been impacted by the COVID lockdown in their area. They work hard to pay school fees for their children and try to help others in their family and community too.
Margret has been received care at an antenatal clinic and doctors recommend that she delivery via c-section to protect her and the health of her baby. She shared, “I have struggled all through this pregnancy, preparing without much success. I’m feeling I have no other option but to hope for the support.”

Margret underwent a safe c-section delivery of a healthy baby girl.
Margret had a successful surgery and delivered a healthy baby girl weighing 2.7kgs. They both recovered well and went home together in good health. Margret is grateful for the support offered and hopes to bring up her child in good health.
