Kwetonda is a 62-year-old man from Uganda. He has four children in primary school and cares for them himself. A farmer, Kwetonda rents and cultivates land. He lives with his children in a small house.
In 2015, Kwetonda began to experience back pain and a swelling in his abdomen. He tried using local herbs to help the issue but saw no improvement. He heard about Watsi on the radio and decided to go to the hospital for assistance. Doctors diagnosed him with a left inguinal hernia. Surgery has been recommended.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Kwetonda’s operation. He is scheduled for surgery on August 23 at our medical partner’s care center, Holy Family Virika Hospital. After surgery, Kwetonda looks forward to having peace of mind.
“After surgery,” he says. “I will continue with farming.”
