Zakerina is a farmer from Uganda. She is a widow and a mother of four children. She lives with some of her grandchildren.
Since she was 25 years old, Zakerina has had an epigastric hernia. This causes her pain and discomfort, making it difficult for her to farm. Fortunately, on July 18, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Zakerina’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.
She says, “I have suffered with this condition for many years. I need help to have my surgery. I am unable to pay for myself.’’
