Hun is a 54-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He enjoys tending to his crops and spending time with his wife and three children.
Hun sustained a mine injury to his left leg in 1987. Following the incident, doctors performed a below-knee amputation of his left leg. About two years ago, Hun noticed an ulcer on his stump that has grown in size and become painful.
On August 3, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, will perform an above-knee amputation. They are requesting $413 to fund the treatment.
Hun is grateful to those helping him receive the treatment he needs. He’s looking forward to feeling comfortable again.
