Anush is a six-year-old child living in Nepal with his parents and siblings. He is in grade two of primary school in his village. His father works in India to support the family in Nepal while his mother is responsible for grazing the cattle and looking after the children.
Recently, Anush was walking from his home to the playground when he fell on a rock, fracturing his left hand. His uncle brought him to a clinic under the care of our medical partner, Possible, where they provided analgesics for pain. Since then, his left hand has been painful and swollen, and he has difficulty moving his arm.
Anush’s doctors recommended surgical intervention to reset his hand and set his wrist in a cast, however Anush’s family is unable to afford it. The total cost of $195 covers the surgery, medications, supplies, and follow up visits.
After the treatment, he will have to do some physiotherapy exercise to regain mobility. “I wish Anush gets well soon after the treatment,” shares Anush’s uncle.
